The small Cafe

The café lies in the middle of Jutland - to be more precise, 20 kilometres south of Silkeborg. Next door to the Preserved Railway Line, the nature trail, Bryrup Langsø (lake) and Bryrup stream - right in the heart of the village Bryrup. The café has the atmosphere of rural France and Italy, inside as well as outside - with a touch of feminine romance.

The house was gently renovated during 2006 and we have succeeded in keeping the cosiness and the atmosphere that was already here.

Our lunch dishes consist of good local raw products and we gladly try the local specialities such as fresh smoked trout or salmon from Katriendal. But at the same time we also like a taste of the Mediterranean rural kitchen.

At the afternoon coffee it is possible to taste our delicious homemade fruit tart, cakes and a good and especially tasty cup of coffee or tea.

In the busy season, it will also be possible to buy dinner that, just like the lunch dishes, consists of local raw products for example from Tyklundgaard. Many of the ingredients such as the olive oil, the dressing, cheese, sausages, pesto are all found under distant skies.

All in all good quality food with the taste of foreign countries. Furthermore, it is possible to buy delicacies from the south. Many of the products are ingredients on our menu.

We have room for approximately 25 guests inside and just as many in our cosy atrium with a view to Bryrup stream.
